9 month check up

Ben at 9 months!

Just got back from Ben's 9 month check up. He weighs 20 lbs 12 ounces and is 27 inches long. He hasn't gained much weight since his last check up but that's because he's crawling all over the place and isn't eating as much as he used to. He has 6 baby teeth and is teething now so we're expecting more to come through any day. He's refusing baby food so he's eating big boy food now. We're experimenting to see what he likes and what he'll eat. I'm still offering him cereal mixed with baby food fruit. Yesterday he took it but a few days ago he wouldn't. He's standing, crawling and trying to walk around and climb on everything. He's much more active than Zachary ever was!

Usborne Educational Kids Books

I've entered a new business venture. My house is overflowing with books for the boys so I decided to join the Usborne Books & More team and sell books. In return I get to collect great educational books my the boys.

If you are interested in hosting a book show at your home let me know. I have several programs set up with local schools and preschools. A lot of local educators are jumping on board and it's really taking off. I am meeting with a summer program in our area next week to work on a Reach for the Stars book incentive program with the kids. The summer program is run by our local university and targets kids of families who might not be able to afford the high cost of summer camps. Our goal with the program is to send every kid home at the end of the program with a book!

If you know of any educators, preschool - elementary school who might be interested in meeting with me to find out how they can earn FREE books for their school library or class room (or an individual who wants to earn FREE books for a home collection) let me know.
