**This post took me 3 days to complete!**
I need to reserve sometime between 2 and 4 AM to update my blog. I'm so sorry. Things have been pretty crazy with my new job, Zachary being in school and Mike coaching.
I need to reserve sometime between 2 and 4 AM to update my blog. I'm so sorry. Things have been pretty crazy with my new job, Zachary being in school and Mike coaching.
About the pictures I promised...well, I can't find the cord to get them off my camera and I am too cheap to take the card to CVS or some place like that to get them on a disk. I have 500 pictures I need to remove (I know, it's been a long time!).
Ben is 11 weeks old today and tomrrow Zachary will be 6 years old! Zachary is talking like a grown up, the other he asked us "Hypethetically, where would a mommy and daddy hide a kids birthday presents?"
I've been at my new job for over a month now and things are starting to make sense. I can sorting of getting a handle of what my tasks are. It's a huge change for me. At my previous job I was used to being the one in charge and making my own decisions. Now I am not in charge and I have to go through a line of people before a decision can be made. The boys and I have our morning routine down pat. We're out of the house by 7:20 every day and I'm to work by 7:55 which works out perfect.
Ben is growing up so fast, we started adding 1 tablespoon of cereal to his bottle at night. I don't think it's worked, he is still up 3 times at night. I am still nursing / pumping. I've been able to pump at least once a day at work. He is up to 6 oz bottles now. He is starting to use his hands a lot to play with some of his rattles and to turn his crib toy on and off. Last week he started deep belly laughs. I love to see him smile and laugh. He is a very happy baby! Ben loves his tummy / back time. He has one toy he enjoys watching and He is up to 14 1/2 pounds now and is wearing all 3-6 months clothes. We call him our little Michelin man, he is so round and pudgy!
Zachary loves kindergarten, he's doing great. His favorite class is art class. He has a few new friends, one of them is named Shark. They named him shark because that is what he like to pretend to be at recess when he chases all of the kids around. He has been bringing rocks home from school in his shoes! They have pebbles on the playground and he likes to collect them. Instead of him putting rocks in his pockets he puts them in his shoes. He is reading and writing words. I'm so proud of him.
Mike and I celebrated our 13 year anniversary on Sept 28. We didn't do anything special but recognize the day. I can't believe we've been together for 13 years! We started dating when I was 16 and a junior in high school.
We celebrated Zachary's 6th Birthday on Oct 1. He took cupcakes to school and Mike picked him up from school (he canceled soccer practice so he could). He was able to pick whatever dinner he wanted and he choose Burger King, so we went there and he played in the play area. He is obsessed with a toy called Bakugan , so he got a few for his birthday (and will be getting more!). Today we are having a birthday party for him. Just a small get together with grandparents, aunts and uncles.
October 2 was my grandparents 55th wedding anniversary. My aunt put together a little surprise dinner and we all met at their house. 55 years! Happy Anniversary
Yesterday we took the boys to the Columbus Zoo, it was Ben's first trip and Zachary's 4th trip. We invited Mike's sister, husband and kids along with us. Zachary, Ben, Allie and Kyle had a great time. Poor Teresa was sick so she didn't have the best time, but she plugged away for the kids. We spent 6 hours walking around the zoo, today my feet are sore! Ben did a great job, he wasn't fussy and was all smiles for most of the trip. Diego was at the zoo yesterday but by the time we made it to the pavilion where he was at they had shut down the line to meet him. The kids were fine with it because they still go to see him. On our way home we stopped for dinner in Lancaster at the Steak & Shake.
Today I am taking Zachary to my parents house so he can watch the Indian Mound parade with them and then they are going to bring him to his birthday party.
